Custom Systems
Our customers use us for drive and automation systems because we offer a single source solution for design, installation, field support and parts. We also provide quick turnarounds and emergency 24/7 emergency technical support.
We design and build systems based on customer needs and specifications, and this allows us to be more cost efficient and flexible than the factory automation houses.
Retrofits
Drive and automation technology has progressed dramatically in the last few years. Newer equipment is more reliable, has more standard features and often costs less than the original. Many of our competitors will not install new drives into your existing drive cabinets, even when that’s the most sensible thing to do, but we will. At EMA, our years of experience allows us to integrate newer technology with existing systems for trouble-free installation and start-up.
Dynamometers
Dynamometers are used to extensively test developmental motors and drives, transmissions, and drivetrain components. Using our fully regenerative AC vector drives, you can save on your utility costs because extra energy, usually wasted in the form of heat, is now channeled back into the utility grid. This design offers an efficient package and more precise testing procedures. Each component being tested has its own specific load profile recipe. By simply changing the load recipe in our optional Data Acquisition Control System, a new test is only a program away, alleviating the need to change DB resistors or load components.
The dyno drive is in closed loop vector control, consistently and accurately giving you the load requirements you need for testing. Each dyno we supply is uniquely designed to meet our customers’ specifications.
Examples Of Uses For Dynos Are:

HMI (Human Machine Interface) And SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition)
Your machine is down. They tell you that the machine control motherboard is defective, and there is no replacement available.
You’re not the first person to encounter this problem. And at EMA, it won’t be the first time we’ve encountered it either.
Often, the most reasonable solution is to retrofit or upgrade the failed components. At other times, the most sensible thing to do is to upgrade the complete system.
Regardless, at EMA we understand the task… and you don’t have to wait for your machine to quit working. Give us a call today and talk about your system. We’ll help you with some options, and then you can make the “Upgrade or Replace” decision with confidence.
Need a new SCADA or HMI system designed? EMA is a certified National Instruments LabView programming facility, and we can work with you to design and implement your new system. Just call us.
