About Us.. EMA was founded in 1990 by Eddie Mayfield.  Working initially from his Atlanta area home,  EMA began as a drive service company, serving as an authorized repair center for a number of major drive manufacturers. In 1997, EMA acquired the assets of Service Electronics of Groton NY.  EMA NY relocated to Cortland, NY in early 2004. In  2005, EMA acquired the assets of Motors and Controls International in Hazleton, PA.   EMA PA is a full service drive integration facility, including sophisticated Human Machine Interface programming and design. EMA developed a national reputation within the drive industry by doing service, training and startups ranging from simple stand-alone fan and pump drives, to complex coordinated drive systems. EMA's three locations allow us to provide these services regionally, nationally, and internationally.

EMA offers new drives and systems integration backed up by  service, along with training.  EMA  is also a national source of hard to find spare parts and components related to electronic motor drives.
