Control Engineering conducts periodic surveys of their subscribers, with an extensive set of questions about their experience with service, support, and product satisfaction with products in various categories. Yaskawa was voted #1 in AC Drives in 2004 and again in the consecutive survey in 2006. The only other AC drive company that scored higher than average is Allen Bradley. They moved from #2 in 2004 to #4 position in 2006.   EMA is proud to have a long association with Yaskawa. 

Baldor announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Reliance Electric Company and certain of its affiliated companies (the “Power Systems business”) of Rockwell Automation, Inc.  “The Reliance and Dodge businesses are a great fit with our existing businesses,” said John McFarland, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Baldor. “The Power Systems business will complement and add strength to Baldor’s product line.   EMA is also proud of a long association with Baldor.

The Danfoss Group announces the appointment of the present Executive Vice President and COO (Chief Operations Officer) Niels B. Christiansen to the role of Vice Chief Executive Officer. At the same time, Frederik Lotz (aged 37) has been appointed new Executive Vice President and CFO (Chief Financial Officer). Frederik Lotz will replace Ole Steen Andersen (aged 60), who has announced he will retire at the 2007 Danfoss A/S Annual General Meeting in April.  EMA is equally proud of a long association with Danfoss.

 EMA is providing DC to AC Inverters to large transit systems and others through its partnership with ABBAVOLT .  EMA has several units operating in the Chicago and New York systems.  These units convert the 600 volt DC rail to AC power for use by maintenance and operating personnel.
